It features three particularly fine porcelain panels with herons alongside a lake, each set against a dark maroon background.

The decorative chapter ring has arabic numerals, each surrounded by a gold ring, with a further gilt ring around the entire chapter ring. To the centre is gilt decoration. The side panels each feature two herons amongst foliage.
The travelling box, also numbered 377, is in a very fine state of preservation; it even has its original front slide and strap.
