moulded base and fluted carrying handle. Circa 1900.
This fine and very substantial French carriage clock, which strikes and repeats the hours on a
gong, has fluted columns with corinthian capitals to the four corners. The base rests on block
feet. The dial has roman numerals and is signed at the bottom by the retailer Douglas and Son
Greenock.
Ht with/without handle 8"/6" (20.3/ 25.25cms). £2,450.
The clock comes complete with its original leather covered carrying case in somewhat
distressed but still sound condition. It still has its slide-in front door and glass.
