O/S 46. Lepaute HgerDu Roi A Paris. Circa 1815. This regulator, which is signed on the dial and back-plate, has a mahogany case of the very finest quality. A pin-wheel escapement is employed for the 8 day rope wound movement which is provided with particularly well executed pulleys which may be easily dismantled to allow for the fitting of the cord. The dial has upright numerals, a feature sometimes seen at this period, and a very substantial bezel, a feature also favoured by Breguet. The gridiron pendulum is particularly well executed and is provided with a pointer and curved plate to indicate the degree of temperature compensation
