This attractive little clock has a fluted brass chamfer top into which the carrying handle slides down. There is brick-work to the front corners, brass floral spandrels to the top front of the case and further decoration below the dial featuring a lion and other animals. There is an engraved and silvered brass dial, with Roman numerals and spade hands some 4.5" in diameter which is surrounded by a brass front opening bezel.

The substantial two train chain fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell. The pendulum, with a regulating nut above the bob to simplify its use, is provided with a travelling clamp.
